The Wildlife Centre is one of Lilongwe Wildlife Trust’s projects. It is set in 180 hectares of beautiful woodland, Lilongwe’s only protected wilderness, and it’s the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. We are open 365 days a year from 8am to 5pm and we would appreciate your visit – every kwacha of your entry donation goes towards supporting our project.
Find us on Kenyatta Road between Old Town and City Centre. More detailed directions by car and public transport are available here

Here are some of the animals you might see on your tour:
Why not take your very own walking safari on our new wilderness trails home to monkeys, duiker, bushpigs, and even wild hyena. The area is also well known for its prolific birdlife and we are keen for birders to visit us and help us with identification. There are 6km of trails running alongside the banks of the river and through the woodland and you are also welcome to cycle or bring a picnic.
Stunning scenery and beautiful wildlife…just a glimpse of what you might encounter:
RESTAURANT, BAR & GIFT SHOP
Relax at the bar with a cool drink and let the children loose on the adventure playground. For a bit of guilt free shopping, our shop stocks goods brought in especially from the local communities, and so the proceeds support both the communities and the Wildlife Centre. The Kokobean Cafe is now in full swing serving meals, fresh coffee and cake.
