Design a poster and add your voice to Malawi’s biggest ever wildlife campaign
WHY PROTECT MALAWI’S WILDLIFE?
Malawi’s natural heritage is the envy of many other countries. Yet if we dont take action now we could lose it all. 50% of the world’s species have been lost in the past 40 years. Elephants will be extinct in the wild by 2025 if current rates of poaching continue. We have a duty to protect our wildlife and not just for the sake of the animals. Any single loss of species can set off a chain reaction that can impact everything from agriculture to climate change. What’s more, tourism needs wildlife and our economy needs tourism. We need to get serious about wildlife crime – whether its illegal logging or ivory trafficking – and all play our part to halt the destruction before its too late.
HOW TO ENTER
Simply use the words ‘Protect Malawi’s Wildlife’ or ‘Titeteze chilengedwe chathu’. Beyond this, write, draw or design whatever you want! You could show how wonderful our wildlife is with a picture of your favourite animal, warn would-be poachers that wildlife crime is serious or ask the government to take action. Submit your design on A4 paper. Both hand drawn and computer graphic designs are welcome.
Write your name, age, school (if relevant), address, contact number and email address (if available) on the back.
