“I hope people who watch the show will be inspired to find out more about Malawi”
“It was great to see so many people respond so enthusiastically to the first series”, says Jonny Vaughan, CEO of the Lilongwe Wildlife Trust. “We received so many amazing messages of support, as well as some very kind donations, which meant a huge amount to our team. They work incredibly hard to give wildlife in Malawi the protection it deserves and we’re excited to show even more of this work to a wider audience through the second series. I hope people who watch the show will be inspired to find out more about Malawi and may even consider coming out to volunteer with our team.”
“The second season of Malawi Wildlife Rescue will include both field work and rescue stories from outside of the sanctuary,” says Alison Barrat, SVP, Production and Development, Love Nature. “Stories will feature issues such as illegal wildlife trade and human-wildlife conflict.”
“Love Nature’s commitment to bringing animal stories to a growing global audience is key in sharing the important work of the Lilongwe Wildlife Centre,” says Laura Marshall, CEO and Co-Founder of Icon Films. “Season 2 of Malawi Wildlife Rescue, with its strong female-led team of vets and animal care workers, gives viewers a broader understanding of the challenges facing wildlife, while still giving an up-close look at the animals and people involved.”
Malawi Wildlife Rescue Season 2 is a Love Nature Original Series, distributed by Blue Ant International and produced by Icon Films. The new episodes will premiere on Love Nature’s platforms worldwide in April 2022.
