Lilongwe Wildlife Trust is Malawi’s leading local wildlife charity.  We’re accredited by the top welfare and conservation organisations, we have won numerous awards for our work, and we’re renowned for our high impact, so you can be sure to be part of a team that is truly making a difference. What’s more, volunteers are integral to much of our work, particularly in wildlife rescue and rehabilitation (and we provide full training so no experience is required – just a passion for wildlife and a great work ethic!), and we can also accommodate research and vet students for externships and placements.

VOLUNTEERS…

Volunteers can join us for 2-12 weeks, and whilst most choose to spend the majority of their time working on wildlife rescue/rehab at the Wildlife Centre, you can also mix it up with time spent with our education and community outreach team, or even a couple of weeks working with our elephant and primate research teams at Malawi’s new Wildlife Research Institute out in the field. Find out more here.
